Nyamurinda Coffee Growers Ltd is a women-led business, owned by two sisters Immaculée Mukamana and Francine Nyiramana. Nyamurinda has its own farm and also works with farmer groups. It owns a coffee washing station but is also part of a cooperative, thus knowing the realities of coffee farmers, but also processing and export. Nyamurinda specializes in high quality coffee in zones known for their high cupping score due to high altitude.

The company’s activities are located in the Southern province of Rwanda, in the Nyamagabe District (Kibirizi sector) and in the Western province, in the Karongi district. Both are mountainous and high-altitude regions (1800m – 2000 masl) with sandy loam soil, that are known to have the better coffee in Rwanda. The family’s farm is situated on Nyamurinda Mountain, where our company’s name got its origin. But we also work with a cooperative on Karora Mountain, where we process their Fair Trade and Rainforest Alliance-certified coffee. Nyamurinda has experience with direct export to The Netherlands, Belgium and Sweden of fully washed and natural processed coffee, scoring 85+.
